I imagine doubt about one’s success as a parent is typical, and I’m no exception in that regard. But, I have been rather proud of myself since I discovered this podcast because- without realizing it- I have apparently been emotion coaching my son since the beginning. ...gonna give myself a pat on the back.

I am now a grandmother, but I can remember, as a child, that a sibling or other person would tease me, and make me angry. My response was to stomp out of the room. As I would leave, my father always said “Don’t go away mad, JUST GO AWAY. “ I remember it like it was yesterday, and you have helped to explain why it hurt so much. Yes, everyone would say we had a loving family, but I no longer agree.
